A grey day in Freiburg is no problem. The old town has plenty to do under a roof, and there is a warm seat waiting at the end of it.
- Start at the Münster Step inside the cathedral to see the great space and the coloured windows. It is right in the middle of the old town.
- Lunch at the Markthalle The Markthalle, a covered market hall near the Martinstor, is a good place to eat while it rains, with food stalls under one roof.
- A museum or two The Augustinermuseum has medieval art, and the Museum für Neue Kunst shows modern work. Opening days change, so please check before you go.
