Match day in Freiburg

Whether it is SC Freiburg at home or a big international on our screens, a match day in Freiburg is best when you make a day of it. Here is a plan that ends where the atmosphere is.

1. Morning: the old town Walk around the Freiburger Münster (the cathedral) and the market on the Münsterplatz, which is not held on Sundays. Look down as you go: the little streams in the pavement, the Freiburger Bächle, run through the old town. Legend says that whoever steps into one will marry a Freiburger.
2. Lunch: eat properly before kick-off The old town has plenty of places to eat. If you would like to come to us early, our kitchen does Shepherd's Pie, Irish stew, burgers and more.
3. Two hours before kick-off: come to O'Kellys We do not take reservations, and tables fill quickly on match days, so the earlier the better. Check what is on today on our front page: big matches carry a gold banner. We have eight screens, so you will see the game wherever you sit.
4. Kick-off: settle in We show live sport from German, Irish and British television. If a match you want is not on our list, send us an email and we will check.
5. After the final whistle On Friday and Saturday we stay open until 02:00.
